Firm Ing. Vyrtych - Elektrotechnicky zavod followed up with the original tradition of the Dufek company founded in 1924. Founder of the company - Josef Dufek, born on 3rd March 1892, was the son of a merchant from Semcice. He got trained to be an electrical engineer in the Company Josef Mulac, zavod elektrotechnicky in Prague-Smichov, where he worked till 1911. Then he worked at the Municipal power station in Chotebor, for the Company Josef Pisa, elektrotechnicky zavod in Vysoke Myto and till 1914 for Elektrotechnicka akciova spolecnost dr.Kolben a spol. in Prague.When World War I was over, he got the entrepreneur's license to run an electrical engineering plant based in Brezno. In those days a great boom started especially in his branch, because of electrification of villages and his contribution all over the region is rather high. He was in charge of secondary distribution networks, lighting rod construction, electric installations, all the maintenance in the field of electrical engineering and sale of electric engines made in Ceskomoravska Kolben Danek (CKD) Company, the representative of which he was.It's worth to mention that in 1931 the Dufek company realized the electric installation of former building of Hospodarska zalozna - in these days Ceska sporitelna in Mlada Boleslav and the gristmill in Plazy, which belonged to Kanka's proprietary.In November 1951 the license was canceled with the resolution of ONV in Mlada Boleslav and part of employees entered the employment contracts with Druzstevni zavody in Drazice nad Jizerou.After "the Velvet revolution" in 1989, new firm Ing.Vyrtych - Elektrotechnicky zavod was founded due to joint initiatives of Ing. L. Vyrtych and Mr. Kvetoslav Dufek. Mr. Kvetoslav Dufek is son of founder of the Dufek company - Elektrotechnicky zavod.
